The Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and Paralleling Switchgear are critical component of every automatic emergency backup power system.

Monthly: Perform a visual check for dust, moisture, and loose wiring, and run a functional test (simulate a power loss) to keep relays and micro switches from sticking.
Annually: Perform internal cleaning, torque verification, contact inspection,  Calibrate voltage/frequency sensing and verify that time-delay relays operate within manufacturer guidelines.
Every 2–3 Years: Conduct thorough component , insulation resistance tests, dielectric testing. and thermo graphic scanning for hot spots.
